Happy post-Thanksgiving, everyone! Hopefully you’re all reading this with a turkey-and-stuffing-and-gravy burrito in one hand (trust me, those things are delicious) and a tall glass of egg nog in the other. Or, if you don’t observe Thanksgiving, I hope you had a fun holiday weekend of no cars on the road and plenty of parking

It?s funny how cartoons have impacted my life. For example, whenever I hear a popular piece of classical music, I don?t think of composers wearing wigs or symphonies filling auditoriums with glorious music. I think of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck and what they did in their animated adventures while those notes played in the

Maybe it?s the eggnog. Maybe it?s that one time I got a replica New York Giants uniform when I was nine and ran around my house in neon clothes screaming like a tiny banshee. Maybe it?s the advertising pros brainwashing me into buying peppermint flavored ?holiday? Oreos. Whatever it is, I friggin? love Christmas. If

Anyone who has seen a SyFy Original Movie will understand, and perhaps even appreciate, the work of Roger Corman. Much like SyFy’s film division, Corman cranked out hundreds of B-movies on tight production schedules and limited budgets, and they all made money. Corman is extremely proud of this, to the point of naming his autobiography

It?s that time of year again, a time when we all come together as Americans to eat way too many carbs, watch football, and fight with our douchebag brother-in-law(s). That?s right: it?s Thanksgiving. If you?re like my family, you say what you?re thankful for before digging into the turkey and ambrosia salad. While ?Call of

This week is a landmark (well, sort of) for my contributions to TSB, in that it’s the first time my Self Made Man and Awesome Men Throughout History columns will feature the same person. Fittingly, this person is legendary B-movie director/producer Roger Corman, who reused props, sets, actors, and film footage as much as he

I’m one of those weirdos who can eat ice cream all year, no matter how cold it gets outside, so it’s surprising that I haven’t talked about Ben and Jerry’s as a model of entrepreneurship. Not only did they start a business that became a hugely successful brand, they helped redefine what the corporate conscience

I think Cleveland has always been a punch line. So, it is no surprise that the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of traveling to Cleveland is this video. I have to admit that I?d love to write that destination article. See Construction For a taste of some nearly done construction,

Cardio is essential. You can build muscle all you want, but you?ll have a hard time seeing it if it?s hidden beneath a layer of fat. But what if doing traditional cardio exercise isn?t an option? What if running starts hurting your joints? What if it?s icy out and biking is out the question? Do

Sometimes I would rather watch an awful movie than a good one. I don?t have to turn my brain on, I can just let mounds of crap wash over me, I can cringe a little, I can laugh a lot (assuming it isn?t a bad comedy because then there is no laughing at all) and
