Brock Lesnar beats Randy Couture

So I went to my friends the other night to watch the UFC fights on Pay Per View. Besides being pissed off that comcast didn’t offer it live in HD (especially since it flashed available in HD like 5 times on the screen during the event), dam comcast!

So the mere size of these two guys was way off. Brock looks like he has a tree stump or a neck and Randy is just an in shape 45 yr old. After watching a few minuets in I was actually thinking Couture would win, he seemed to really hold his own and despite the 35 lb weight difference. I was sure he was just going to tire Brock out just like they did in the early days of UFC.

All of the sudden Lesner catches Couture on the back of the head and sent him down. I believe it wasn’t just the punch, he seemed to loose his balance at the same time. That slip up was all Lesner needed as he pounced on Couture and started hammer punching him in the face. Couture had no where to go and tried reversing, but it was too late, at this point Lesner now was pounding Couture’s face with his forearm and elbow and the ref just called it, justifiably so…

When you’re dealing with that much of a weight advantage you really can’t afford any slips, hopefully the “Natural” Randy Couture will get another shot and redeem himself.
