The Fat Bald Man In the Red BMW Convertible
If you watched HBO’s Entourage last night… you were probably thinking the same thing I was when you saw Vince and Turtle living it up in on the beach in Mexico:
I want that life!
And if you’re like most of the population, you were probably thinking… if I work hard enough, long enough hours, and am persistent in my goal; one day I’ll get there.
Well I’m here to give you a wake up call.
By the time you get there you’re going to be the fat bald man in the red BMW convertible.
The fat bald man in the red BMW convertible is the inspiration that Tim Ferriss used to remove himself from his dismal 9-5 existence and live the life he dreamed of… now!
Tim Ferriss is the author of one of my favorite books The 4 Hour Work Week. The book’s primary objective is for you to stop putting off your “dream life” for the future, and start making the necessary changes that allow you to live it now.
Are you waiting for the big pay day before you “get serious” about going after the kind of woman you really want? Are you waiting for retirement to travel the world? To start that non profit? To write that book?
If the answer is yes than you will most likely end up the bald fat guy in the red BMW convertible.
The 4 Hour Work Week is an inspiring book because it opens up your eyes to that fact that you have options. While the book’s core focus is learning how to make money without having to work in a cubicle all day, much of the advice Tim talks about can easily be applied to improving other areas of your life.
I’ll never forget one of the final conversations I had with my grandfather before he passed away. I was preparing for my third trip to Brazil in three years, and was reluctant to admit this to my grandfather because I thought he would frown upon my “irresponsible” behavior since he had spent his youth building a company he would one day sell for several million dollars. Instead he said to me:
Travel now. Travel while you’re young. I’ve seen most of the world, but I’ve seen it as a sixty year old man. What I would give to have seen it as a twenty five year old man.
Do girls leave you confused as to whether or not they like you?
Let's face it. Girl's don't make it easy for you. She will often send mixed signals leaving you unable to tell if she is being friendly or flirty. If you read her signals wrong you risk rejection and embarrassment. Or worse, you blow it with a girl who wanted to kiss you.
Here is a simple and innocent move that will instantly tell you if you're in the friend zone, or if she's waiting for you to kiss her.
