Must-Read: No Pain Vasectomy?
No, there’s a good chance that today, at this exact moment, you’re not thinking about getting a vasectomy. Which makes sense, seeing as you’re probably not exactly in the right age range to begin wanting to get snipped. But this is a thing that is going to come one of these days, whether you like it or not. Which is why you need to be done collecting your information before it’s time to start considering your ball-cutting options.
And so today we’re heading on over to The Turek Clinic, where they have a nice long post about the truth regarding no scalpel vasectomy. Among the pieces of information they’re handing out includes these two examples of early pain you may experience with a vasectomy:
Procedure Pain. Operating on this place is different, trust me, than anywhere else on the body. Remember, it?s the scrotum, where the family jewels live, and not a finger or a toe. An awful patient vasectomy experience can be life changing for men. That?s why I use oral or intravenous sedation liberally, play cool jazz, promote diverting conversation, use two types of local anesthesia and move ever so fast (9 minutes) to ensure a pain-free experience.
Recovery Pain. I have followed hundreds of men online with Healthloop.com for several weeks after vasectomy, so I know every blip and bump in their recovery. They average 2 pain pills afterwards, and I even tell them to take one pill that evening and another the next morning, just to be sure. Along with a few scattered Tylenol or Ibuprofen pills, this is usually it.
But that’s not all that you should be aware of. To check out the other types of pain that you may have to deal with if you get a vasectomy, head on over to the link above and check out the post.
