The weekend has passed and what have you got to show for it? Maybe a deep red rash on your butt from sitting on the couch all weekend and getting through those Game of Thrones episodes you’ve been putting off? A few extra fantasy baseball players on your team after scouting? Maybe a damaged liver from all of the beers you consumed at the bar? Those are all fine pursuits, but those are not how every weekend should be spent. Instead, what you need to do is head on out there and enjoy the outdoors. The problem, though, is coming up with a good reason to do it.

Geocaching

If you?re a family man and your weekends no longer belong to just you, a great way to stay fit with the family is to go geocaching. The activity has already accumulated 2 million geocachers worldwide, meaning there are likely dozens of geocaches to be discovered near you. The activity is simple enough: You download the app, select the geocache you?re hoping to find and follow the app to its location (all of which have varying difficulties). After you locate the item, sign the logbook assigned to the geocache, trade knick-knacks and log your find online. It?s a great way to explore new areas in your neighborhood and the kids will absolutely love it.
