Top Five Movies of Carrie-Anne Moss

It?s kind of interesting how things disappear from our lives. Changes in addresses, jobs, schools, interests all can have an impact on how our daily lives change. There may be friends that we stay in touch with from different parts of our lives and there may be others that fall by the wayside, as the things that gave us common interests are no longer common to us both. I travel down this path in my head because for a while, it seemed like Carrie-Anne Moss was in a lot of movies that I wanted to see. Then, she kind of disappeared from my movies.

Moss!

I don?t blame Carrie-Anne for ?The Matrix Reloaded? or ?The Matrix Revolutions,? though I can understand how people might use that against her. There wasn?t a moment that said to me that our time together was at an end. We just went different ways. (Partly because I never worshipped at the altar of ?Chuck,? though when it comes to Netflix or Amazon Instant, I may light up the votive candle on my Xbox to watch.) I?m not saying that I won?t ever canoodle in a movie theater while watching a Carrie-Anne movie again, but I don?t know when that will happen. Until then, we?ll always have these five movies.

5. The Chumscrubber

I think this movie has been on my list for quite a while. (I may own a free copy of it somewhere as well.) It seems easy to put in the fifth spot due to a great cast that includes Glenn Close, William Fichtner, Tim DeKay, Ralph Fiennes, Rita Wilson and Allison Janney.

4. Disturbia

After watching this movie, I thought to myself, this Shia LaBeouf guy seems to be a pretty cool actor. Yes, the movie wasn?t much different from ?Rear Window,? but putting in Carrie-Anne as his mother and David Morse to play the creepy neighbor really made it an enjoyable watch and highlighted Shia?s skills well. Then came ?Transformers? and ?Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? and I went back to ignoring Shia.

3. Chocolat

Yes, I can be a sucker for a good romantic movie. (Is this one a romantic comedy? Kind of, though it doesn?t have the same story beats.) However, the cast includes Johnny Depp, Alfred Molina, Peter Stormare, Lena Olin, Judi Dench, Juliette Binoche and Carrie-Anne, so it has a bit more going for it than the standard Kate Hudson fare.

2. Memento

I still remember going to see this movie in Alaska with a friend and then sitting around thinking about it as the sun set after midnight. I still enjoy this movie and it led to my best Halloween costume ever, dying my hair blonde and dressing as Leonard Shelby.

1. The Matrix

Of course ?The Matrix? has to be number one. It?s a damn fun sci-fi adventure (as long as you forget there were ever sequels) and it?s the movie that brought Carrie-Anne to prominence. The skintight leather suit doesn?t hurt the ranking one bit.
