‘Breaking Bad’ Creator Says a Movie is Possible
Coming soon to the big screen: meth kingpins? ?Breaking Bad? creator Vince Gilligan recently hinted at the chances of a movie once the druggy drama wraps up its final two seasons.
During a roundtable discussionat the San Diego Comic Con last weekend, Gilligan commented on the possibility of a ?Breaking Bad? movie being developed. Here?s what he had to say:
?If a year or two down the line [we] think of something else we could do, or if there?s anyone else left standing when the dust is cleared, who knows?? Your guess is as good as mine at this point.? But that would be wonderful.?
This isn?t the first time the idea of a ?Breaking Bad? movie has been posited. The series? star Bryan Cranston (Walter White) expressed his enthusiasm for a movie in a June interview with the Los Angeles Times:
?It?s not far-fetched,? Cranston says. ?I wouldn?t mind visiting that possibility. And this is coming from a guy who doesn?t know anything of how the show?s going to end. If it doesn?t end up in a total apocalypse, who knows? Maybe we could revisit Walter White a year down the road and see where his life has gone. If he?s still alive, that is.?
If ?Breaking Bad? became a movie, it wouldn?t be the first time a popular TV show hit the silver screen. Let?s just hope ?Khlo? & Lama: The Movie? doesn?t get greenlit.
