‘Talking Dead’ and ‘Comic Book Men’ Get a Second Season
If you?re the type of dude that enjoys talking about zombie TV shows and/or the complexities of Aquaman, you?re in for a treat. AMC has renewed ?The Walking Dead? recap show ?Talking Dead? and comic book shop reality show ?Comic Book Men? for second seasons.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC?s Sunday night geek-fest is here to stay ? at least for another season. Both ?Talking Dead? and ?Comic Book Men? will air 16 episodes this coming season to match the increased order of ?The Walking Dead? from 13 to 16 hours.
In case you?ve been going to bed at 10 p.m. on Sunday nights (goody two-shoes), ?Talking Dead,? is a live post-show commentary hosted by Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick. Along with a selection of celebrity guests, several ?The Walking Dead? cast members have made an appearance on the show. The show?s inaugural season consisted of 13 episodes and averaged 4.3 million viewers.
?Comic Book Men? is a reality show following the exploits of Kevin Smith and his high school buddies at Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, a comic book shop in New Jersey. The show averaged 1.5 million viewers during its six-episode first season.
If you?re looking for more info about both series, check out AMC?s official website. All three will air in the fall, so you?ll have something to nerd out to after ?The Avengers? and ?The Dark Knight Rises? fever has subsided.
