If you celebrated the holidays like me, by taking a trip home to the Midwest, than chances are you came back with an extra handful of pounds hanging off of your body. (For me, the grand week of burgers, deep dish pizzas and hot dogs led to a weight gain of about 7 pounds; I’ve been on a strict oatmeal and water diet since.) Lucky for all of us — especially those who have decided that 2011 is the Year of the New Body — Men’s Health has put together an exercise and eating plan that you need to check out.
Belly Off! 2011 is “an exciting exercise and eating plan designed to help you lose weight, build muscle and dramatically improve your life.” It’s a community-driven site that will help you stay on track in both eating and working out by telling you how to stay on track. So far there’s over 100,000 users who have signed up, which can only help sell it as something worth trying. I’m going to go ahead and start filling out my profile right away, as soon as I can drag ourselves off the couch from the still-affecting-me quasi-coma of the insane rich food that was consumed during the holidays.
