Top Five Road Trip Roads
First of all, when talking road trip roads, let?s get this out in the open. Cruising along the PCH with the top down and a girl by your side is like Brad Pitt. It?s obvious, beautiful and enough to make any pair of panties wet. There?s the PCH and there?s everything else. But, everything else does have some high points.
Take Route 12 from Torrey, Utah to Escalante, Utah for example. Sure, there?s a small little mountain and some pine trees to interrupt the miles of red rocks in all directions. Beautiful, obviously. The real key is the razorback portion of the road where each side of the road drops off into sheer canyons. Any previous hint of a fear of heights in your lady and she?ll almost be sitting in your lap to get away from her side of the car. For a real driving treat, drive along the route during a full moon so that there?s just enough light to get both of your imaginations working.
Maybe you want sheer spectacle and for that, I?m a big fan of Route 82 out of Aspen, Colorado to Independence Pass and down to Twin Lakes, CO. The pass is twelve thousand feet in elevation and there are mountain peaks in all directions. (Considering there always is snow on the ground and it is a mite bit chilly, the peaks can be next to you.) From there, it is a wonderful winding drive as the valley opens up to Twin Lakes.
Maybe you?re not a fan of being cooped up in the car, so what if you need plenty of breaks? Well, there?s Route 12 from Lolo, Montana to Kookskia, Idaho. A nice winding drive along the Lochsa River with plenty of stops available to get out, hike and enjoy the forest in all directions. It?s also a sure way to get pie ? huckleberry pie, which are made from wild blueberries that are omnipresent in the mountains. Diners are not as plentiful, but if you see one, make like Agent Dale Cooper and get a slice with a nice cup of joe.
What if driving is the thing? For my money, it is Route 68 from Salem, MO to Greer, MO, a nice patch of the Mark Twain National Forest with enough curves and hills to test any driver?s skill. As long as no one is susceptible to carsickness, you?ll have a blast. With car-sickness in play, either avoid this road or make sure you have a quick braking foot.
Lastly, what if you just want to take it easy? Try Route 24 from Osbourne, Kansas to Colby, Kansas. (Yes, I just recommended driving in Kansas. To the inexperienced, that might mean that I need my road trip license revoked. Trust me, as long as you like to drive and have nice company, about any road can be good. But, let me explain this one first.) Yes, it is flat. Yes, it is Kansas. However, if you time it right, as you drive along this road beside the North Fork of the Solomon River and catch the sunset, it will seemingly go on forever as there are no mountains, hills or buildings to block your view. Only your car, your lady and you which is a fine way to spend the evening.
After any of these road trips, it?s always good to find a nice quiet place to stay as night falls. Then you can relax in your tent, your hotel or resort and realize that the journey can be the thing.
Do girls leave you confused as to whether or not they like you?
Let's face it. Girl's don't make it easy for you. She will often send mixed signals leaving you unable to tell if she is being friendly or flirty. If you read her signals wrong you risk rejection and embarrassment. Or worse, you blow it with a girl who wanted to kiss you.
Here is a simple and innocent move that will instantly tell you if you're in the friend zone, or if she's waiting for you to kiss her.
