It’s Science! Fridge Full of BO
So, this is disgusting:
(And you thought the moldy pizza in your fridge smelled bad!)
All of those little bottles in there? They?re samples of various kinds of human body odors.
The fridge is inside the Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia, and is part of a project to analyze the various components and aspects of human body odor because, you know, it?s science! Why the fuck not?
From the post:
During the visit, I had the pleasure, albeit a seriously malodorous one, of peering inside a freezer in the laboratory of George Preti, who studies the nature of human odor. One of his goals is to eke medically valuable information from people?s personal perfumes.
No word if the fella reporting was able to crack open a bottle and take a whiff, or what the worst smell in the fridge is, or whether or not I can hold down my lunch just thinking about the rancid, horrific odors contained inside. In any case, it?s probably safe to say this isn?t the ideal place to keep your leftovers.
