Wait, What? Hillbilly Cat Fishing

Every now and then, you stumble across something on television, while hiking through nature or, more likely, on the Internet that makes you question the existence of a god. Is there something out there, in the distant chasms of space, that would allow something so horrific and grotesque to take place? And yet, at the same time, there’s something so beautiful and flawless about how disturbing the action is that you’re witnessing, you can’t help but consider this the work of some higher being. Something like this can only be preordained, a guiding hand sifting through the chaos of the universe to this specific, perfect moment. Which side of the fence you ultimately fall on is largely determined by your upbringing and outlook on life; if you’re a believer, you’re not going to completely disregard an intelligent designer, and vice versa. But no matter your worldview, you will no doubt be left shaken and disturbed afterwards.

Which is all just a long way of saying, watch this video of hicks catching catfish by using their arms as bait. It’s not as drastic as the above event described – that’s reserved for “2 Girls, 1 Cup” – but it’s close.
