Style lessons from Romeo Beckham

The tweenage son of excessively attractive power couple David and Victoria Beckham, , is already a leading style icon in his own right. Having signed as a model with Burberry at the tender age of ten, Romeo has recently hit headlines due to his recent campaign. The tiny model clearly follows in his parents? fashionable footsteps. He dresses incredibly sharply, particularly for someone whose peers are probably wearing colored T-shirts and sandals. may be young, but there is no shame in taking some style inspiration from him.

It?s all about the scarf

Romeo wore a Burberry scarf in their signature tan tartan at the launch event of the campaign he starred in. Of course, he is meant to be selling Burberry, so it is no surprise that he would drape himself in one of their most recognisable items. What is unique about his wearing of the scarf is the execution of his outfit. In plain black pants, an open black coat with a smidgeon of white shirt visible and a black bowtie, his scarf provided the perfect finishing touch to a classy outfit. He may be young, but he sure does not dress it; his outfit puts grown men to shame. Borrow from his style by adopting scarves into your semi-formal wardrobe. A tartan Burberry scarf just like Romeo?s is always stylish, but also consider wearing solid color scarves to introduce some brightness into your outfit.

The Beckham hair

David Beckham has serially good hair. He finds an attention-grabbing hairstyle, and commits to it. He has done the fauxhawk, the Kurt Cobain, and even the man bun. One of his more enduring hairstyles is the slicked back side sweep, which clearly runs in the family as Romeo is sporting the very same hairdo. Perhaps the lesson here is to take inspiration from David Beckham?s good hair days, but not the bad. Unlike his father, Romeo has certainly never had blonde cornrows.

A stylish umbrella

In the Burberry Christmas advertisement, Romeo appears holding a very fashionable Burberry umbrella. You may not think of an umbrella as an accessory to your outfit- you see it as a useful item to stop your outfit from getting wet. But having a stylish umbrella exudes sophistication. It does not have to be picked straight of the advertisement. A classic black umbrella is enough. Go for muted patterns and block colors; umbrellas can be garish which ruins your entire look should there be cause to open your umbrella.

Finish with a tie

Being young had not given Romeo an excuse to dress like a child when accompanying his parents to high-profile events (and increasingly, events of his own such as the Burberry launch). Even in old photos of him, you often see that he is wearing a tie. Note that it is perfectly proportioned to his size. While it is clear that his fashion royalty parents have had a hand in choosing his outfits, they are clearly his own clothes that fit well.
