Must-Read: Get Rid of That Middle-Aged Belly Fat
You’re going to get fat. That’s going to happen one of these days, especially if you continue eating all of those donuts and stop working out. It will strike you one day, and it’ll be shocking, and then you will have two options: Either just let it go and decide that that will be that for the rest of your life? Or actually take the step to change the way that your body is working? Us here at TSB, of course, are always going to try to steer you in the direction of the latter course.
So today we’re going over to ZenToFitness where they have a blog post about how to get rid of your belly fat after the age of 49.
Meditation
Meditation is one of the most helpful holistic methods you could have decided on. It helps you become more aware of your body and your feelings. The body?s ability to heal is scientifically proven to be increased by meditation. Meditation also helps to move away from feelings of depression and anxiety, increasing the tendency to feel happy, relaxed and emotionally balanced.
Reading this you have probably quickly realized how invaluable this could be in losing weight. Many of us tend to find consolation in overeating when we are depressed.
Even the movie stereotypes teach us that in order to help yourself if you are sad about a break-up or work problems you should eat lots of chocolate, ice cream or other sweets that will make you feel better. Eating loads of sugar will help for a while, but all those calories will leave a lasting mark on our bodies and make us feel unhappier in the long run. Meditation might have prevented such an unhappy event altogether, by keeping you emotionally balanced.
So head on over to the link above to check out more about meditation and other ways to lose your belly fat as you grow older. It’s something you’re going to have to deal with at some point or another, so take some notes now.
