Must-Read: What Jeans Should You Wear

For being as ubiquitous as they are out there in the world, jeans are one of the most strugglingly tough pant types to figure out. The problem with them is that there are very few jeans that look TERRIBLE, there are a TON of jeans that look just okay… but there are again just a very few pairs of jeans that look GREAT. So, mostly, people tend to simply stick on the jeans that look okay and settle for those. And then they walk out into the world just looking decent instead of looking great. And that sells themselves short. So, the trick is finding the best jeans for you. Which is why today we’re heading to Men’s Health where they have a few Q&As with people about how they found their own jean style.

Here’s a quick sample of a Q&A of one of the folks they talked to about their jeans:

WHAT’S YOUR STYLE AT WORK?
I’m casual-professional. Every restaurant I’ve worked at has written jeans into the dress code. It’s the new standard. There’s a lot of wine flying through the room, food dropping. Jeans are so resilient to those catastrophes.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR JEANS.
I have six pairs, but I bought my favorite at the Salvation Army 12 years ago. They’re a looser fit and lighter wash. They have this strange pattern on one leg. It must be a burn from a loosely covered ironing board. People are always asking me where I got them because they think it’s some kind of style accent.

WHAT PART OF YOUR JEANS WEARS OUT FIRST?
The crotch, because I’m on my feet all day. There’s a denim store in my Brooklyn neighborhood called Loren that repairs jeans.

Head on over to the above link to check out some more of the interviews they have regarding what kinds of jeans you need to wear. And then get on out there and wear out the crotch in those jeans of yours, if you know what we mean!
