Watch the First Official Trailer for ‘Iron Man 3’

Tony Stark might be an egotistical, motormouth jackass, but he surely doesn?t deserve the abuse he gets in the upcoming ?Iron Man 3.? The first official trailer for the film debuted Tuesday, and boy, do things look grim for Mr. Stark and friends.

Not only does the trailer show Iron Man getting his ass kicked, but his home being destroyed and oh, someone in an Iron Man suit attacking he and his wife in bed.

If you?re not hip to the comic book, the third film follows what is known as the Extremis storyline. (Huh? I don?t know either.) All I can say is that Sir Ben Kingsley (you know, that guy that played Gandhi) stars as supervillian the Mandarin. In fact, he utters the coolest lines in the trailer: “Some people call me a terrorist. I consider myself a teacher.?

Unlike the first two films, which were directed by Jon Favreau, ?Iron Man 3? is directed by Shane Black of ?Kiss Kiss Bang Bang? fame. From the look of things, Black looks like a Mandarin fan.

If the thought of Iron Man getting abused thrills you, this looks like you?re kind of film. You?re going to have to wait til next summer to get your Iron Man fix however: ?Iron Man 3? is scheduled to be released on May 2, 2013.
