Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane Considering ‘Ted’ Sequel
If new episodes of ?Family Guy,? ?American Dad!? and ?The Cleveland Show? don?t satisfy your weekly need for Seth MacFarlane?s comic genius, you?ll be happy to hear the actor/screenwriter is considering a sequel to this year?s ?Ted.?
In a recent interview with TMZ, MacFarlane revealed his interest in making a sequel to the raunchy teddy bear comedy ?Ted,? released this summer. MacFarlane, who directed, co-produced, co-wrote, and acted in ?Ted,? told TMZ “We’re thinking about it.”
The ?we? would be he and co-writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. Spotted with Sulkin and Wild over the weekend, it?s likely he?s more than ?thinking about it.? This revelation also comes just days after NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke gave his thumbs-up for the project, saying ?We?d like to see a ‘Ted 2’ as soon as we can.?
So far the highest-grossing R-rated film of the year, ?Ted? has taken in more than $400 million at the box office. With numbers like that, it?s more than likely we?ll be seeing the stuffed animal deal with even nastier situations than shitting hookers.
?Ted? will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 11. Until then, get your wisecracking teddy bear fix watching clips like this.
