New ‘Dark Knight Rises’ TV Spot Released: “I’m Retired”
It’s totally not a big deal when your dad retires from the insurance business. But Batman? No way! In a new TV spot for the upcoming Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises,” we get to see some of the toys that entice the Caped Crusader to come out of retirement:
The new TV spot for “The Dark Knight Rises” shows Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) meeting up with his armorer and head of Wayne Enterprises Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman.) Fox shows Wayne some of the newest vehicles and weapons available in his arsenal, to which who Wayne responds “I’m retired.” In case you were unaware, “The Dark Knight Rises” takes place after an eight-year gap in time from “The Dark Knight.”
Speaking of retirement, Bale has stated that he’d actually take part in a fourth Batman film if Nolan was interested. As of now, “The Dark Knight Rises” is slated to be the last of Nolan’s reboot series. Here’s a quote from Bale’s interview with Empire magazine:
“My understanding is that this is the last one. I think it’s appropriate, I think it’s going out at the right time. But… if Chris came to me with a script and said, ‘You know what? There is another story’, then I would love the challenge of making a fourth one work.”
Whether or not they’ll be a “The Dark Knight Rises and Kicks Everyone’s Ass Again” in 2015, you’ll get to see Wayne come out of retirement when “The Dark Knight Rises” hits theaters on July 20.
