‘Dumb and Dumber 2’ to Begin Production This Year

So, you?re telling me there?s a sequel? ?Dumb and Dumber 2? will start shooting this September, according to a recent article for ComingSoon.net.

Peter Farrelly of the famous Farrelly brothers (?There?s Something About Mary,? ?Kingpin,? umm ?Dumb and Dumber?) talked about ?Dumb and Dumber 2? at a press junket for the duo?s latest film ?The Three Stooges.?

“We’re getting set to shoot ‘Dumb and Dumber 2’ in September,” said Farrelly. “It’s the first sequel we’ve ever done and we’ve got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back.”

The original having been released in 1994, ?Dumb and Dumber 2? is a long time coming. Last summer, the Farrelly brothers told ComingSoon they were developing a sequel. In October, Sean Anders (?Hot Tub Time Machine?) and John Morris were hired to write the script.

?Dumb and Dumber 2? isn?t the first major motion picture to feature Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne since the original. ?Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd,? an abysmal prequel, came out in 2003.

There hasn?t been any indication as to the plot/direction of ?Dumb and Dumber 2.? Big Gulps and Shaggin? Wagons might have been funny in 1994, but will the same humor fly in 2013? Perhaps Harry and Lloyd will finally get to open that worm store they?d been saving up for, ?I Got Worms.?
