“Man Vs. Wild” Takes a Hike

You won?t be seeing Bear Grylls sleep inside of dead sheep anytime soon. The Discovery Channel has severed its ties with the British adventurer after six seasons of paragliding, free climbing and guano-eating.

So long, Bear

According to a recent article at The Hollywood Reporter, the Discovery Channel has terminated its relationship with Grylls due to contract disputes. The snake-eating adventurer declined to participate in two upcoming projects for the network, breaking his contractual obligations. Apparently you can?t tie this man down, no matter how much money you throw at him.

If you?re craving more alligator-wrestling, fear not. Grylls will be producing more content for those who enjoy adventuring from the comfort of their sofas. Heather Krug, a representative for Grylls commented on the situation:

?Bear has loved the Man vs. Wild journey and looks forward to producing further cutting-edge content again soon for his loyal audience.”

No upcoming shows have been announced, but you can be sure it will be full of stuff you wish you could do if you could only live without your iPad for a week. For now, grab a burrito and check out this video of Grylls eating sheep eyeballs.
