Mashup Radness: “Never Gonna Give Your Teen Spirit Up”
I’ve never been one to get into these “musical mashups” that have been taking up far too much of the Internet’s bandwidth over the past few years. Sure, some of them are kind of catchy and fun, but in most cases the whole concept of the mashup is just an excuse to put some shitty dance beats behind a song that one should not be dancing to. (Anything by Metallica, for instance.) And since dancing always always sucks, all it does is make a decent song worse. But, man, this mashup may have turned me on the whole enterprise.
The mashup was created by DJ Morgoth who, according to the YouTube information, is an “excellent mashup creator based in Germany”. Here, he combines Nirvana’s iconic “Smells Like Teen Spirit” with Rick Astley’s 80s hit/Internet phenomenon “Never Gonna Give You Up”. And folks, it is something special:
Who would have guessed the two songs were such perfect companions? They are the Dharma and Greg of music. Watching Astley performing his epic slow swaying dance moves while Kurt Cobain wails through his guitar solo is worth having to suffer through every crappy mashup ever produced. Here’s to you, Mr. DJ Morgoth.
Do girls leave you confused as to whether or not they like you?
Let's face it. Girl's don't make it easy for you. She will often send mixed signals leaving you unable to tell if she is being friendly or flirty. If you read her signals wrong you risk rejection and embarrassment. Or worse, you blow it with a girl who wanted to kiss you.
Here is a simple and innocent move that will instantly tell you if you're in the friend zone, or if she's waiting for you to kiss her.
