Internet Awesomeness: The Eternal Moonwalk
Many tributes surfaced in the wake of the shocking death of Michael Jackson. And so, so, so many of them were completely awful. (One of the worst coming from Michael?s own father.) But all of that was worth sorting through in order to find easily the best tribute, and really one of the greatest tributes to any celebrity ever:
The concept is simple: Take a short video of yourself on your crappy webcam performing Jackson?s signature from one edge of the shot to the other, send it in, and watch as it?s randomly inter-spliced with thousands of other amateur s from around the world. As far as I can tell, there are currently at least 10,000 different videos on the site. And as you?d imagine with a number that large, there?s plenty of clever ones, like this lady from Finland performing hers on stilts:
The image doesn?t do the site justice, so please, go ahead and visit it now. The website was created by Group 94 a web design firm based out of Belgium, and something like this should get them plenty of work for the foreseeable future.
