The Chiba Lotte Marines Will Protect All Of Japan!

The Chiba Lotte Marines, a team in the Japanese baseball league, have never been one to shy away from an ingenious marketing ploy; just look at them hiring ex-Mets skipper and noted quote machine Bobby Valentine as their manager. I’m not entirely sure how the team is doing either in the standings or the attendance – feel free to try and decode this from the team’s official website; be warned that if you don’t have epilepsy you will be the time you leave – but if they can’t get some extra fans to attend games after this amazing series of promotional posters, it’s time to pack up and move somewhere else. The posters are a take off of those old Japanese monster movies, except with members of the Marines protecting the city from their nuclear-testing-gone-wrong opponents. (Of course, wouldn’t it make more sense for the Marines to be the monsters? And not look so scared while defending the city?) In any case, here’s another for your viewing pleasure:
