If you grew up in the 1980’s, chances are you think of The Karate Kid as a cult classic. Hell, if I’m flipping channels and I come across a scene of Daniel son and Mr. Miyagi, I always stop and watch at least twenty minutes of it… I must have seen the movie a thousand times and I never get bored of watching Ralph Machio repeatedly get his ass kicked by the Cobra Chai… only to triumph in the end.

Please don’t remake this movie!? It seems its to late…

The actor son of Hollywood icon Will Smith is to star in a remake of the hit 1984 film “The Karate Kid,” entertainment industry press reported Tuesday.

Jaden Smith, 10, will play the lead role in the new film, which will contain elements of the original movie’s plot but is to be set in Beijing and other cities, Daily Variety reported.

The freaken Karate Kid needs to be older then ten.How is he going to bone Ali if he hasn’t even gone through puberty yet… plus watching a ten year old repeatedly get his ass kicked by other ten year olds will lose some of the effects Johnny and Company gave Danielson.
