Must-Read: Fashionable in Your Twenties
Your twenties are a weird time. You are out of school, so you’re in that strange “what the hell do I do with my life?” phase for a long time — or if you already know what you’re supposed to be doing, then you have a lot of “well, how exactly do I do that?” moments — and will generally remain there until you’re 30 and just kind of give up on people’s preconceived notions and even your own. But that kind of strangeness and being unsure of oneself manifests itself in another way: Through fashion.
While there are some people who simply seem to be fashionable when they get out of the womb, for the most of us it’s a bunch of trial and error until something kind of makes sense. But there is a way to kind of cut down on how long that kind of thing takes. So today we’re heading to AskMen.com where they go through what kinds of fashion tips a man in their 20s needs. All of them are great, but among the most enlightening:
Find the perfect fit
Drop all the dough you want on clothing. If it doesn?t fit, it doesn?t matter. And chances are your entire wardrobe, from suits and dress shirts to tees and shorts, is in desperate need of a diet. Gone are the days when it was customary and, dare we say, even cool to sport a silhouette large enough for three of you. You?re in your 20s — you?re growing up. So, make sure that the shoulder seams actually hit you at the shoulder, the torso is trim but not tight and the rear doesn?t look like it?s ready to make a special delivery.
Head on over to the above link to check out the rest of the tips and then get to fashioning!
